Enter the limit in decimal MB. Confirm whether your portal means MB or MiB.

IANA · CC0 1.0 · 2026-10-04

How this works

Choose a template, read its source and scope, then configure and confirm it against your own instructions. Blank limits mean unspecified. A publisher-specific template is only a partial checklist for that publisher.

Sources and review date

Scope, attribution and licensing

IANA media type registry (voluntary attribution retained). CC0-1.0 for protocol registry data

NIST binary prefixes; calculations and text adapted by HandInCheck, 2026-10-04. NIST does not endorse this tool. NIST non-SRD data terms; no copied dataset or prose, constants independently encoded

Adapted from PLOS One Figure Guidelines, reviewed 2026-10-04, CC BY 4.0. No endorsement. Recheck the current journal page. CC BY 4.0 for published content unless otherwise indicated; numeric subset and original paraphrase

arXiv submission documentation; filename rule adapted, checked 2026-10-04. Not an arXiv submission service. MIT for arxiv-docs repository; original paraphrase of technical filename rule

Worked example

A maximum-size template starts with no limit. If your brief says 5 MB, enter 5, confirm the rule, then check the final file.

Limitations

No universal university rule is assumed. Source links explain methods or a named publisher requirement; they do not endorse this tool. No plagiarism, grade or acceptance assessment.
