HANDINCHECK / HELP
From brief to final review
Three steps to make the details easier to check.
Start a review1. Bring your instructions
Paste the brief, choose an editable preset, or add requirements yourself. “Draft my checklist” uses local text patterns to suggest checks. Read every value, source quote and assumption before confirming a requirement.
2. Choose your final draft
Open a PDF, DOCX, UTF-8 TXT or Markdown file, up to 20 MB. PDFs are limited to 100 pages; scanned or encrypted documents are not fully supported. Supporting attachments are checked by name and size only.
3. Review the evidence
Run your checks, then open the findings. Pass means a configured mechanical check was met. Issue means a mismatch was detected. Needs review calls for your judgement. Not checked means the requirement was unconfirmed, unsupported or manual.
Follow a finding
Open a finding for its observation and next step. Related-text links jump to literal matches in extracted text, with paragraph or PDF page locations. Search the reader to inspect context; extraction order is not the original page layout.
Preview before you export
Open Preview your report to inspect its actual contents. It uses the same finding model as the PDF; pagination may differ.
Keep a clean report
Download PDF, HTML or plain-text findings. These are separate review reports; your original document is never edited or watermarked. Reports may contain your filenames, quoted instructions and identifying details.
Bring an existing checklist
Saved checklists from Submission Check still load in HandInCheck. Browser storage belongs to each website address: before moving from an old address, download your checklist and use Load here. Files and findings do not transfer automatically.
Recover your work
Use Save locally for a named checklist or opt in to draft recovery. Both are stored in this browser on this device. Local saving does not store your document. Clearing the workspace removes the current session; saved checklists can be deleted separately.
