HANDINCHECK / PRIVACY
Your document stays with you
HandInCheck reads your document locally in your browser.
Start a reviewWhat stays on your device
Documents, pasted instructions and review findings are processed in the browser. HandInCheck does not upload their contents to a server, an AI model or a third-party document service. The tool does not submit documents on your behalf.
What you can choose to save
Named checklists and optional draft recovery use this browser’s local storage. They can include instructions, requirements, names or IDs you enter. Use the local checklist controls to remove saved entries. Downloaded reports are ordinary files that you control.
Website delivery
Cloudflare serves the website and its static assets. Like other web hosts, it receives connection information such as your IP address and requested URL to deliver and protect the site. This is separate from your document contents, which the app processes locally. Document review workspaces, calculators, results and exports do not load third-party advertising scripts. External analytics is disabled.
Cookies and advertising
Verification metadata and ads.txt identify this website to Google; they do not load ads or send your document to Google. When enabled, selected public guides may load Google advertising. Google and its partners may process cookies, IP addresses, device details and the guide URL under your choices and applicable requirements. Google manages regional consent messages and choices. Use the privacy settings on an enabled guide to review or withdraw a choice; its applicable US opt-out link remains available. This legal page never loads the Google advertising script.
Moving between addresses
Browser storage is scoped to an address. The pages.dev address and handincheck.com do not share locally saved checklists. Download and reload a checklist to move it; keep a copy if it matters to you.
Before you share a report
Review reports for filenames, source quotes and identifying terms before sending them to someone else. Closing the tab removes in-memory files and findings; it does not delete reports you downloaded or checklists you explicitly saved.
